Getting Started

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Joint Activity
  • Making it fun for everyone

Making it a Routine

Once you have narrowed down what types of activites are right for you and your  family, you should build exercise into your entire families daily routine.  **Remember to make exercising a recreation for everyone not a chore.**

Set Realistic Goals for your Children.

In an article featured on “Family Fitness Experts” website they suggest that you reward your children once they have reached their goals.  Choose appropriate rewards, while keeping health in mind.  “The rewards should be something that the children themselves want, and maybe even choose, but make it tailored to the whole fitness experience.”

Benefits of Exercising as a Family

Committing to an exercise program will improve your entire families quality of life, as individuals, and as a whole.   Bringing the family together will create:

  • Quality Time
  • Shared Interest
  • Motivation

It is never too late to start doing something good for you and your family!

Thanks guys for all the great feedback!! It is very encouraging to write more pieces like this when I get a lot of positive comments!!

A few tips for finding informative health & fitness information: WebMD has a great section on their website, just type in “fitness” in their search box. Also, sites like Mens Health, Women’s Health and HealthyChildren.org. For a shortcut, just google “Family Fitness Routines” and it will show you a lot of different site options.

I just went to google and typed in “muscle building tips” (to break it down even more, you can type men or women @ the end). Every blog I post, I always include all the sources from where I got my research, so you should be able to click on those links as well! Hope this helps! 🙂
